Let’s set the record straight, much to my dismay, John McCain is not has-been, and he is very much the front runner in New Hampshire. No matter what happens in Iowa, McCain’s infrastructure and support is very very impressive. People love that man up there. His PAC is roaring. It is run by a very fiery Executive Councilor (NH’s version of a Lieutenant Governor) and McCain is T H E biggest donor to the NHGOP. He also gives to every county committee, fundraises for candidates, and does some Dem reachout. NH also has strange voting laws. A TON of independent voters are going to come out and they are going to vote for McCain. And besides, with a new, very popular DEMOCRAT governor who ran solely on the principle of “bipartisanship” New Hampshire voters, even consistently republican conservatives, will feel more comfortable about supporting a more moderate candidate, specifically McCain.
So, McCain a has-been, not in New Hampshire. McCain is an idol.
