Check it out here. Just a warning though, you get only 1 freebie. You can chose one Rep. vs. one Dem and see the vote breakdown of one state.
It’s really late, so I will have more analysis tomorrow. But here are some tidbits to tide you over:
Rudy is the biggest electoral winner beating Hillary 354 to 184 in the electoral college. In this survey, Rudy wins AK, OR, NV, ID, MT, WY, AZ, CO, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, IA, MO, LA, MI, IN, KY, TN, MS, AL, OH, GA, FL, SC, NC, VA, WV, PA, RI, ME, CT, NJ, and NH. He loses my beloved Minnesocold by 1%.
McCain beats Hillary 351-187. He wins all of the same states as Rudy except for NJ & FL (which McCain loses to Hillary 48% to 45%). However, McCain wins VT, WA, MN, WI, and NM to nearly make up the deficit.
And yes… Before people get all snippy in the comments. I realize that this poll is largely a measure of name ID at this point (For instance, I do not believe that Barrack Obama would really lose 510-28 vs John McCain. Or that Condi Rice would beat Obama 462-76). However, I do believe it is a telling poll for those candidates who already have universal name ID like McCain, Giuliani, Clinton, and Rice.
As my friend Gamecock would say, “more to come”…
UPDATE: And that vaunted Hillary vs. Condi matchup? Clinton takes it 373-165.
Update II: Guess who is the Dems biggest electoral voter getter (by which I mean a “serious” Dem candidate vs. a “serious” GOP candidate)? I will write more about this tomorrow, but it illustrates a serious weakness IMO by a top shelf candidate. Give us your best guess in the comments.
