The American People Trust McCain on Issues of National Security

July 30th, 2007 · No Comments

The majority of Americans nationwide believe John McCain is the best candidate to lead the US in Iraq. When adults were asked to choose a candidate based on “how much confidence you have in each of the following to do or to recommend the right thing for the war in Iraq,” 55 percent say they have a great deal or a fair amount of confidence in McCain.

National Review Online has an article today summarizing a latest Gallup poll showing McCain has strong numbers when it comes to national security. Americans still recognize that he is the most qualified to lead the United States to victory against the extremist forces of radical Islam.

Please click here to show you support Senator McCain’s decision to stand up to Democrats who claim Iraq is a conflict we cannot win.

Integrity

July 22nd, 2007 · No Comments

Over at Real Clear Politics, Ralph Peter’s writes today about “John McCain’s Integrity Problem…he has too much of it.” Peters continues that America needs three things in our next president and commander-in-chief; three qualities which John McCain would embody as President: 1) “Strong, conscientious leadership”; 2) Honesty to tell you where they really stand; 3) “The ability to unify our nation after the election.” These are just three of the many valuable qualities John McCain would embody as president that are highlighted in Peters’ article.

John McCain has dedicated his life to serving our country, and it will truly be a shame if we can’t recognize the value he would bring to the presidency. Voters must realize the difference between a “parrot” candidate (”someone who merely tries to please the audience at the moment”) and a president. Right now John McCain is the only candidate who can be a president for he will not base his campaign around the talking points provided to him by his staffers:

Defeating Our Enemies

July 12th, 2007 · No Comments

John McCain is uniquely qualified to lead America and will deploy all instruments of national power to defeat al Qaeda, prevail in Iraq and defend our nation.

Senator McCain reaffirmed his commitment to success in Iraq during a policy speech today in New Hampshire. He recognizes al Qaeda’s commitment to win in Iraq and knows that “We cannot let them.” The Clinton-Pelosi-Reid wing of the Democratic Party has veered far to the left with their call for precipitous withdrawal while basically ignoring the al Qaeda presence in Iraq and the threat posed by allowing Iraq to turn into a terrorist training center. Senators Clinton and Byrd did not even mention the al Qaeda presence in Iraq or even the word “terrorist” in their recent op-ed piece. In the op-ed, they advocated a rapid retreat and ignored the terror-operatives who stoke sectarian strife and conduct the vast majority of suicide bombings in Iraq. These Democrats and many others fail to recognize that al Qaeda will not be content to defeat the US in Iraq. If the terrorists defeat us in Iraq, they will surely seek to hit us harder in Afghanistan “hoping to erode our political will” there as well.

Senator McCain will not accept defeat in Iraq. “Defeatism will not buy peace in our time. It will only lead to more bloodshed-and to more American casualties in the future.”

He is the only candidate with the experience and leadership to lead us to success in Iraq. He truly believes in the U.S. servicemen and their “skills, bravery, and dedication.”
